This is a project of portraits of various re-enactors carefully composed so that as little modern distractions as possible are in them. Almost as if someone living in the Medieval Era had a camera.
The medieval era was one of colour, something popular culture likes to downplay. The project is photographed on analogue colour film using my Yashica Mat to show off the vibrant colours and characters of this era. Medium format film is used for the resolution and the beautiful bokeh and background blur of the Yashica.
Films are various, including Kodak Gold and Portra 160.
